About the Internal Audit team:
The Policy Expert Internal Audit department is a new and growing team that plays a vital role in safeguarding the assets, reputation, and sustainability of our organisation. We are seeking an Internal Audit Manager who will help to drive the Internal Audit agenda by educating the business, delivering end-to-end Internal Audits, supporting the Group Head of Internal Audit in hiring and developing a team, continuously assessing risk across the organisation and contributing to the Internal Audit Planning process.

Who are you:
To qualify for a position within our Internal Audit team, candidates should meet the following educational criteria:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Audit, Insurance, or Risk Management is required. An ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certified.
- Professional industry qualifications are preferred, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development in the field.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory standards would be advantageous.
Essential skills for an Internal Audit Manager at Policy Expert
In addition to meeting the educational requirements, successful candidates should possess the following essential skills:
- Clear demonstration of internal and/or external audit experience in insurance, with a focus on the retail insurance market or relevant International Insurers.
- Proven experience in delivering end-to-end audit assignments, demonstrating thoroughness and attention to detail.
- An appreciation of risk management principles and the ability to identify and mitigate controls effectively.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence senior management, underwriters, and colleagues.
- Strong report writing skills, enabling clear and concise documentation of audit findings and recommendations.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office products.
- Developed knowledge of the insurance industry, including key market trends and challenges.
