Your day to day:
- Risk selection appetite and criteria
- Input regards targeting of markets/customer segments
- Provide underwriting support to customer service and claims teams including the achieving of internal SLAs
- Support the underwriting governance and compliance framework (to include an audit function as appropriate, including the complaints process)
Role Dimensions
- Products: all QMetric products including ancillary products
- New and renewal business
- Key relationships –
- Pricing team
- Product Management team
- Counter Fraud team
- Senior Claims team
- Compliance Department
- Analysis, Tech, Marketing, Finance teams
- Operational/Customer Service team
- External suppliers (eg data providers, RI brokers)
Authority Levels
- As per official authority.
Key Performance Indicators
- Loss ratio (to the overall portfolio and targeted segments)
- Segment/profile mix
- UW footprint optimisation metrics
- Internal (operational) SLAs
Who are you:
- Min 3 years’ experience in technical underwriting personal lines GI products.
- Some understanding of personal lines markets, risk trends, and products
- Some understanding of data analysis
- Communication/influencing
- Team player but possess the initiative to work alone on projects as required
- Excellent numeracy & literacy skills
