The Payroll team is a dynamic, international group that is responsible for the firm’s global payroll processes, compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accounting taxation and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is expected to have the capacity to develop professionally and build leadership skills to assume increased responsibilities in the department over time. The candidate must be able to handle complex processes proactively and independently and meet required deadlines. The candidate must also be able to perform and excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment and work effectively under pressure.

 

What you’ll do

  • Prepare the Polish payroll and other payrolls that span EMEA accurately and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Ensure all relevant payroll data is submitted to outsourced payroll provider without omissions or errors
  • Analyze data, management reports, and run/prepare reports and analysis for ad-hoc requests to support the strategic goals of the business
  • Maintain strong business relationships with outsourced payroll providers
  • Liaise with other departments within and outside of Finance to address questions, collaborate on projects, and address management inquiries
  • Collaborate with the U.S. Payroll team timely and effectively while managing U.S. time zone requirements and escalating potential issues proactively
  • Assist in the monthly accounting close process by performing balance sheet reconciliations, identification and explanation of variances and preparation of journal entries
  • Identify and implement process improvements to minimize opportunities for error and to improve the timeliness of our deliverables
  • Review and identification of changes in taxes and social charges; work with external tax experts to verify appropriate treatment by local vendors
  • Work virtually alongside a team of experienced professionals to actively engage in job training
  • Cross train among peers to ensure proper coverage is maintained

 

What is required

  • 1 - 2 years of finance/accounting/payroll experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Payroll Systems, HRIS, generating reports – Workday or CloudPay experience
  • Excellent attention to detail with a process-oriented approach to payroll compensation for some of the top leading professionals in the industry
  • The ability to efficiently analyze sizeable amounts of data and work with the Technology team to identify opportunities where improvement is essential
  • The ability to excel in a dynamic, fast paced environment and work effectively under pressure
  • A willingness to manage change and build working relationships with our clients within Finance and throughout the Firm
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English language verbal and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong proficiency in Excel with knowledge of VLOOKUP’s, sum ifs and pivot tables
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards
