A CAREER WITH POINT72’S DAILY FUND ACCOUNTING GROUP
The Daily Fund Accounting (DFA) group is responsible for the daily reconciliation of all cash balances in Point72’s accounting system, Geneva, as well as ensuring that all bookings, trade, and non-trade related activities are recorded accurately and appropriately.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Supervise and review team’s daily activities
- Oversee reconciliations performed by a remote team and help troubleshoot issues
- Support firm Initiatives and ongoing process improvements
- Support the daily reconciliation of accounts across all product areas including equities, futures, equity swaps, FX, OTC derivatives, and collateral
- Support Point72’s Fund Administrator relationship and help resolve breaks, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas to improve the overall processes
- Drive process improvements and create efficiencies across all aspects of the team’s work
- Investigate and help resolve discrepancies between Geneva and the firm’s prime brokers/clearing counterparties
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of non-trade related income and expenses in Geneva
- Partner with the broader Operations, Valuations, and Fund Administration teams to investigate and resolve trade and P&L discrepancies
- Oversee the month end close process, ensuring that Geneva is accurate for month end reporting
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed
WHAT’S REQUIRED
- 8+ years of reconciliation and management experience
- Superior problem solving and analytical skills with an assertive approach to problem resolution
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Sound professional judgment; trustworthy with sensitive information
- Knowledge of U.S. markets, Bloomberg, and Financial Products
- Knowledge of corporate actions
- Understanding of general accounting principals
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience with Geneva and reconciliation tools
- OTC Derivative experience
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
