We’re looking for a Head of Software Quality to join our specialized team. We have the vision and resources, but need your talent and skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Be the top-level owner of the quality of Point's software products
Establish workflow with development, product, and design to ensure quality is maintained at a high level throughout the development process; establish "quality as a cultural value"
Establish processes and standards for regression testing, both automated and manual
Evaluate, decide and deploy software QA tooling to meet the needs of Point's development processes
Hire FTE and contract testing headcount as needed
Establish a cadence for standard releases and processes around hot-fixes
Work with development & design to integrate staging builds & pre-release internal testing into the release workflow
8+ years in software quality assurance, ideally both as an IC and as manager or manager-of-managers
Ability & willingness to pitch in to "get things done" as an IC while staffing the quality organization
Experience with setting up automated integration testing using hardware devices
Experience testing web-based and mobile client/server software products deployed in a public cloud
Experience with greybox testing (e.g., connecting the server logs, product databases) to introspect the running system during test runs
