Plum Guide is on a mission to build the definitive collection of the world’s best holiday homes. We are taking a systematic approach to vetting every single home on the planet and accepting only the top 3%. Like a Michelin Guide, but for homes. We do it by putting every home in a destination through a systematic vetting process, which includes identifying candidate homes through proprietary AI, interviewing hosts and sending our Home Critics to visit and test nominated homes in person.

We launched 5 years ago. Since then we have grown incredibly quickly; expanded to 254 locations in 15 countries; tested over 150,000 homes; and developed a customer experience that’s returning the highest NPS scores in the industry.

About the Role

Currently Paid Search is our major acquisition channel, but we need to find more. We believe that paid social media can be the next one. We have been working with an agency as a proof of concept and now we are in a position to hire someone to lead this internally. 

This role is ideal for someone who is excited about innovation and driving hypergrowth for a business.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & execution: create and own Plum Guide’s paid social strategy to hit sales & COS target. Initial focus will be on Facebook & Instagram, with the potential of moving to other paid social channel as appropriate
  • Own creative process & testing: you will be responsible for working with our design team to continuously create & test new creative assets to drive performance. You will be expected to come up with detailed creative ideas / themes 
  • Audience targeting & testing: test & find the right audience/placement targeting mix that can help us reach our target scalably in a post-iOS14 world
  • BAU optimisation: day to day optimisation of our existing campaigns, launch new campaigns, test creative, audience, and landing pages to improve performance. Drive budget pacing and bidding optimisation to meet monthly targets
  • Ensure correct technical setup: ensure that technical setup including pixel and tracking is properly done. Work with developers to resolve any issues
  • Analytics and Reporting: own the reporting of the channel to senior stakeholders. Own an ‘always-on’ process of data analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Growth hack: discover and nurture other new channels Plum Guide can go into beyond paid social

 Who we are looking for

You don’t need to have prior experience in hospitality or tech start ups. The important thing is that you are: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands on experience managing paid social with track record of driving hyper growth for the channel 
  • Data driven & creative. You will be expected to come up with creative ideas to brief our design team, based on analytical data & your creativity. You will ultimately be responsible for making sure that our creatives are good enough
  • Relevant experience in “growth hacking” i.e. discovery & nurturing new channels also preferred
  • Target driven and commercial: you’re focused on your metrics and obsess about how to shift that KPI you’re working on
  • Ambitious with an unreasonably high standard for what is good enough
  • Highly analytical: you can deconstruct problems logically and solve them using data, insight and gut
  • Super entrepreneurial: you care about getting things done. And when obstacles inevitably get in the way, you know how to hustle
  • “Product minded” - you think in terms of optimising the conversion funnel, and understand landing page experiments. Also have experience in working with developers to get technical changes made
  • A natural multi-tasker: you’re able to project manage multiple campaigns at once, moving seamlessly from concepting campaign strategy to optimising conversion and architecting tracking & reporting
  • A self-starting learner: confident teaching yourself to do things you have never done before
  • You’re all about implementation and results; not about ideas
  • Show passionate engagement in the latest marketing innovations and trends
  • A team player and a positive, motivating person to be around
