Plum Guide is on a mission to build the definitive collection of the world’s best holiday homes. We are taking a systematic approach to vetting every single home on the planet and accepting only the top 3%. Like a Michelin Guide, but for homes. We do it by putting every home in a destination through a systematic vetting process, which includes identifying candidate homes through proprietary AI, interviewing hosts and sending our Home Critics to visit and test nominated homes in person.
We launched 5 years ago. Since then we have grown incredibly quickly; expanded to 254 locations in 15 countries; tested over 150,000 homes; and developed a customer experience that’s returning the highest NPS scores in the industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Plum Guide’s community of creative copywriting freelancers. At the moment, we’re looking for help writing home listings, but as part of our community, there’d be the opportunity to work on other projects within the Merchandising department.
Listings are at the very heart of Plum Guide’s product. They’re the interface through which guests can explore some of the best homes in the world and select the one that’s best suited to them. Ensuring, therefore, that they are as elegant, alluring, and informative as possible is essential to the business and the brand.
Your role is to create home listings for the Plum website. This includes:
- Arranging photos
- Curating highlights of the home
- Writing copy on the listing page
- Inventing a name for the home
- Ensuring that the correct information is on the listing
The role can be done remotely: it requires only a solid internet connection and the capacity to use Plum’s content management system. Training will be provided in this, as well as guidelines on the Plum tone of voice, and best practices with regards to photography.
- Experience in a copywriting role (either in-house or agency) is essential
- Experience in the travel sector is desired, as is experience curating photos
At this time, please note we are only looking for candidates who are available immediately and are able to commit to 3+ days a week (or equivalent hours). Please note, we are hiring on a rolling basis and we may reach out to you as and when we need more Copywriters in the near future.
