About the role

We seek a dynamic and forward-thinking Vice President of Global Human Resources with a proven track record of enhancing organizational performance by fostering a high-performance culture through driving organizational development, talent management, and employee engagement. The Vice President of Global Human Resources (VP, Global HR) is a pivotal role within Plexus, responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing performance-based human resource strategies aligned with the company's objectives that foster a positive and inclusive work culture and support our employees' professional growth and well-being. The VP of Global HR will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive initiatives that attract, retain, and develop top talent while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards globally.

What you will do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the organization's vision and business objectives and supports a high-performance, inclusive, engaging work culture.
  • Trusted Advisor: Building trust and earning respect as an executive team leader supporting the business through collaboration, critical analysis, and functional excellence and creating a positive and engaged people culture that drives success and future growth.
  • People Leadership Team: Lead and manage the HR team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of comprehensive HR services, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, talent development, HRIS, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance
  • Global Talent Management: Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement workforce planning strategies, succession planning, and talent development programs to ensure the organization has the right talent to achieve its strategic goals.
  • Performance Management: Design and implement performance management systems that reflect the diverse operations across different countries. Ensure regular performance evaluations and provide strategic guidance for performance improvement.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Design and implement global creative compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that support the recruitment and retention of top talent and drive results.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement: Provide leadership and guidance on organizational development, change management, and employee relations issues. Drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback mechanisms, and action planning to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting high employee morale and motivation.
  • Legal Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all countries of operation. Manage risks related to HR and keep abreast of global HR trends and legal changes. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with relevant labor laws and regulations and ensure the company's practices reflect the best HR practices and industry standards.
  • HR Analytics: Utilize HR analytics to make data-driven decisions. Monitor HR metrics and analyze trends to inform strategic decisions and improve HR processes and practices.

What you need to know

  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • You have Twelve or more years of relevant experience leading HR functions with a background in global HR and strategy execution and a broad understanding of all HR disciplines with 5 years as Director or above.
  • You have either a SPHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • You have a deep understanding of HR best practices with a strong foundation in HR compliance, talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
  • You have strong leadership and management skills and can build and lead high-performing HR teams and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • You possess a depth of knowledge of global HR policies,  programs, employment laws, and issues.
  • Must be well-versed with North American and international labor laws. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
  • You're a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can translate HR data and insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive and complex HR issues with professionalism and integrity.
  • You work cross-functionally and create partnerships with people on all levels; must be able to influence without direct supervisory authority.
  • Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills. You're a big-picture thinker who anticipates future trends and creates competitive and creative talent strategies and plans that drive results and employee engagement.
  • You have an "achiever" personality with a start-up mentality who strives to resolve issues and roadblocks and meet goals timely.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and fast change with an ability to adapt quickly and easily.
