We’re looking for a hype-person in residence to devise and execute our social media strategy across all owned channels.

You’ll become our voice – and maybe face, who knows? – across a variety of social media platforms. This means delivering bite-sized nuggets of the Pleo brand story in a way that resonates with our 20,000+ customers, prospects and Pleo’ers themselves. It also means being able to spot trends and think “What can Pleo do with this?”

We’re a B2B product, so Linkedin is our baseline, but we want you to broaden our horizons and dare to go bigger on new-fangled channels that you think will resonate with our audience of SMB business leaders and finance admins.

It’s not just about landing a viral smash that gets a lot of Likes. When in the right hands, social media can be a powerful and direct communication tool.

An opportunity to showcase your next big product, tease out insights of an eBook or share a slice of customer feedback. A set of magic moments that, when stitched together, create a compelling tapestry around a brand.

But, yes. viral stuff too. We love that.

We want to learn from you too. As you build our followership, the whole Pleo team will be following in your footsteps. You’ll be in the driver's seat of Oktopost, a B2B Social Media Management Platform. Armed with this tool, you’ll guide our sales team (and beyond!) with content they should be shouting about to their networks.

Social media can also be a place where brands can embrace the weird and be their most spicy. Just take a look at the Instagram account for McDonald’s. It has no right being that brilliantly odd.

You’ll be joining a growing in-house Brand studio, very much treated as a matrix competency at Pleo. This means strong collaboration and teamwork with your immediate Content and Brand buds, plus the wider Marketing org. We’re talking Growth people, Performance, Product Marketers and Marketing Ops (that help us look smart).

Things you'll be doing

  • Building and owning Pleo’s global brand voice on social media ...
  • That helps foster a community of business owners, Pleo customers and fans of the brand vision
  • Delivering all organic, global social media efforts – from tweets to embedded campaigns
  • Working closely with our local teams to help nurture market- and language-specific social communities
  • Collaborating with our Brand Design and Creative Production teams to deliver social-first assets that sparkle – based on your briefings
  • Briefing to external nano-influencers and people of note that we venture into social media partnerships with
  • Driving our social advocacy platform and curating content for the org (with support of the Employer Brand Manager)
  • Reporting on your efforts, considering indicators like brand perception, follower growth, click and bounce rates, un/prompted mentions and – the holy grail – acquisition


You'll thrive in this role if ...

  • You have experience managing social channels for an innovative brand, agency or influencer
  • You’re a wonderfully crisp, precise communicator
  • You have a genuine passion for social media and its potential for harvesting a community
  • Moreover, you can provide examples of brands that are doing great, embedded social media work that plays into the Zeitgeist AND helps build brand equity
  • You know your way around a Figma board, managing creative assets and collaborating heavily with designers/video folks
  • You can tie your efforts to metrics that impact commercial growth
  • You care about how work works, and believe in more progressive, dynamic and agile work cultures
