TPT is seeking an experienced Branded Video Editor to join their growing video team.  The person in this position must have extensive knowledge of the post-production process, and be excited about the idea of helping brands tell their stories in a compelling manner.   We’re looking for an avid observer of content trends and developments in the digital publishing world, specifically Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.

We're looking for someone that understands what type of video content excels on social platforms, and views content as a means for people to communicate with one another.  The person in this position will be expected to constantly consider the following questions: who would want to watch this video? And why?  Who would they want to send this video to?  Why would they want to send it to that person? Can you predict the general comment or statement our audience will make with this video?  The ideal candidate will also have experience editing unscripted content for digital platforms and the ability to craft a compelling narrative.


In this role, you will:

  • Edit a wide range of branded videos and formats
  • Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from producers, creative team members and clients
  • Ensure that TPT’s voice and aesthetic is maintained in all branded video efforts
  • Work with the branded production team to create post timelines
  • Perform audio mixes on branded videos
  • Edit different versions of a source video, with each version being optimized for the destination social platform

Who were looking for:

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro and Media Encoder
  • Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator is also helpful
  • Motion graphics and titling experience a plus
  • Understanding of basic color correction, sound design, and sound mixing within Premiere
  • An active user of all social platforms
  • Experience editing unscripted web content and/or documentary work is a plus
  • Must have great communication skills and be able to give and receive critical feedback in a small team environment
  • Ability to follow workflow guidelines and naming conventions
  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds
  • Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules
  • Knowledgeable of social media and digital video platforms
  • 5+ years experience working in a fast-paced professional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communication or related field
