About the role

Playbook is seeking our first Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our team and work directly with the CTO. If you are someone who has managed multiple complex projects and ran sprint planning meetings while seeing things from ideation to shipping, then we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities

  • Engage in our product development process to develop project scopes and objectives
  • Manage large scale, cross functional projects end-to-end and ensure that projects and deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Coordinate with Product, Engineering and QA teams to define metrics for tracking progress, determining success, and ensure the timely delivery of software releases
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives meetings and backlog grooming sessions
  • Facilitate team meetings, project organization and internal communication (agenda, meeting notes, updates etc.)
  • Drive continuous process improvements, automation and implement agile best practices to create a robust, predictable, priority driven culture
  • Continuously improve delivery and organization. Establish and drive adoption of agile frameworks, tools and best practices. Share your program management knowledge with the leadership teams.
  • Define effective feedback mechanisms to drive continuous and iterative product development lifecycles
  • Manage documentation and dissipation of deliverables, best practices, internal protocols, stakeholder updates, post-mortems, and other artifacts
  • Proactively communicate progress and technical issues to Engineering Leadership to ensure effective resolution and collaborate with team to determine strategies to prevent future issues
  • Work closely with CTO to collaborate with stakeholders across the company on roadmap prioritization and backlog maintenance

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Technical Project or Product Management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively across product engineering teams, managers and external partners
  • Experience working directly with highly technical, remote engineering teams
  • Proven track record of decision making based on insights derived from data
  • Proven ability to manage Agile processes across diverse Engineering teams
  • Strong knowledge of Kanban and SCRUM methodologies
  • Fluent in performing both qualitative and quantitative customer research
  • Ability to document integrations, product roadmaps, and engage with design, engineering and PM leads
  • Technically savvy and demonstrated knowledge of APIs, databases, networking and principles of software engineering
  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
  • Technical writing skills+++
