About the Role
This is a 6 month contract with potential to hire option
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in migrating/merging two disparate networks as part of an acquisition and extensive experience in managing on premise networking environments, wireless access points, and firewalls of over 100 switches, 15 routers and 10 firewalls. This role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco, Dell, and Aruba switching, Extreme Cloud IQ for wireless access points,Ubiquity WAPs, Global Protect and Fortinet firewalls. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring network stability, security, and scalability, while also working on cloud networking environments.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work with the parent company of the acquired business unit to separate and migrate ownership of the acquired network to our control.
- Manage and maintain on premise switching environments using Cisco, Dell, and Aruba network switches.
- Re-configure and maintain wireless access points using Extreme Cloud IQ and ensure seamless network connectivity across the organization.
- Re-implement and maintain Radius Server configurations for secure WiFi access.
- Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and VPN configurations to ensure network security and secure remote access.
- Ensure access to existing tools, migrate access to new gateways
- Work closely with cross functional teams to design and implement scalable networking solutions.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any network issues to minimize downtime.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or similar) are a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Experience with migrating network ownership and updating routing from an acquisition
- Extensive experience with on premise switching (Cisco, Dell, Aruba).
- Hands-on experience with Extreme Cloud IQ for managing wireless access points.
- Proficient in configuring and managing a Radius Server for secure WiFi access.
- Strong expertise with Fortinet Firewalls and VPN solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on complex network environments.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols and best practices.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Ubiquity wireless APs and cloud controllers.
- Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and Global Protect VPN solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS and Azure cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $58.78 and $87.92. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
