Responsibilities:

This is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently and as part of a team.  Primary responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for administration of PJT’s Personal Securities Trading program:
    • Onboard/Offboard global employee trading accounts
    • Liaise with PJT’s approved brokers and other key external stakeholders to ensure receipt of trade data through automated feeds or other approved means
    • Review employee personal trading requests for potential conflicts of interest and approvals
    • Review and approvals of employee Outside Business Activities and Private Investment disclosures/requests
    • Assist with implementing and conducting employee trade surveillance
    • Provide comprehensive training to newly hired and existing personnel across the firm’s business lines as it pertains to PJT’s Personal Securities Trading Policy
  • Interface and partner with all PJT business lines to ensure maintenance and adherence of the firm’s Watch and Restricted Lists
  • Implement Control Room procedures, manage and escalate matters to Sr. Compliance Officers where necessary, and work independently to address and remediate identified risk factors
  • Independent and timely execution of instructions received from Sr. Compliance Officers and/or the Chief Compliance Officer
  • Assist Sr. Compliance Officers and the Chief Compliance Officer in matters related to regulatory examinations, independent testing, and audits

Qualifications:

We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and are proven self-starters.  The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write and speak publicly effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the receipt and handling of confidential and material non-public information, and should have at least two years of experience as a Control Room Officer or within relevant areas of Compliance.  Additional required skills and capabilities include:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly with new or unfamiliar subject matter
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to partner with various internal stakeholders
  • Acute ability to use sound judgement, prioritize areas of risk and controls effectively, and identify/escalate potential issues when appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adhere to fixed deadlines
  • Technical expertise, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a comfort level in learning potentially new or unfamiliar applications

Expected annualized base salary of $65,000 to $90,000.

This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.

Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
