Responsibilities:
The Advisory group is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry, and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including, technology media telecommunications, natural resources, power & utilities, industrials, healthcare, and real estate.
Associates within the Advisory group work directly with companies in evaluating, structuring and recommending financial and strategic alternatives. Associates typically work on a wide variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, asset sales, and divestitures. They are staffed directly on client teams and are expected to be involved in all aspects of a transaction, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements. The comparatively small size of this group offers professionals the unique opportunity to gain client exposure and work closely with senior members of the team, many of whom were previously group heads at leading investment banking firms.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and an interest in the Insurance industry, as this role will be specifically within PJT’s Financial Institutions Group with a subsector focus on Insurance in our Strategic Advisory Group.
Requirements:
To be considered for the Associate position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2 years of directly comparable (investment banking or private equity) experience

Qualifications:
We seek to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and are proven self-starters. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, interests outside of work and a desire to work in a team environment. A strong background in finance/accounting is required.
Expected annualized base salary of $200,000 to $250,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
