Summary
Production Engineering at Pismo is a diverse, dedicated and passionate team of engineers and leaders, responsible for providing the core infrastructure for Pismo’s growing product platform across the globe. We are guided by best practices based on testing, continuous integration, automation and reliability.
Working as part of a truly global organisation, the Junior Platform Engineer is responsible for supporting Pismo's global production infrastructure.
This is a technical and hands-on role with great potential for future progression as the team evolves - you will be actively involved with all aspects of the team, helping the squad to solve complex problems and harnessing your professional experience alongside your strong desire to learn and expand your horizons to put in place the foundations for future growth
What you'll do
- As part of our globally-distributed team, you will actively participate in supporting Pismo's global AWS production infrastructure
- Patch and maintain core platform components including Kubernetes, Istio and Terraform modules and pipelines
- Document your work operationally, leaving things better than you found them and driving operational excellence
- Identify problems and address them, either on your own or as part of our global Platform team
Minimum Qualifications
- Cloud (Amazon Web Services)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Scripting (Bash/Python)
- Experience working in a support capacity, either internal (user-facing) or external (customer-facing)
Experience with:
- Exposure to CI or CD systems- such as Jenkins, ArgoCD or Codefresh ( Nice to have )
- Experience supporting a production platform; working as part of a global team (Nice to have )
- Any formal certification in AWS, Terraform or Kubernetes ( Nice to have )
- Private network implementations in a cloud environment - VPN, PrivateLink ( Nice to have )
