About the Role:

PipeCandy is a unique vertical data company out of India where you get to do B2C-scale growth tactics. We own Commercepedia, a directory of eCommerce and DTC brands. Our newsletter is well-regarded and is read by 30,000+ executives. We run a podcast named 'Merchantry' which is known for its data-driven, opinionated takes. eCommerce market intelligence is our playground and it's our right to win in this market. We are looking for a 'Head of Marketing' to lead our traffic growth, conversion optimisation, events, and own our marketing dashboards and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, refresh, and scale our demand generation processes to hit benchmark conversions across channels
  • Set the direction and own programmatic SEO and growth initiatives for Commercepedia
  • Align PPC, outbound, event and ABM activities toward building a predictable enterprise pipeline
  • Make data-driven inferences on outcomes and continually optimize marketing programs with a deep focus on weekly growth in qualified leads
  • Plan product marketing initiatives with various product teams on a monthly cadence
  • Manage performance by coaching team members across demand generation, revenue ops, growth, content and event functions
Techno-functional Experience Required:
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SEO and conversion optimisation
  • Demonstrable proof of scaling traffic for a large website
  • Ability to tell a good copy from bad
  • Expertise in using analytics tools and spreadsheets to arrive at the 'why'
Skills Required:
  • Ability to balance between prioritising marketing activities for short term lift in leads and long term growth
  • Expertise in setting up measurement templates for marketing efficiency
  • Ability to extract good marketing copy out of content team members
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively iterate fast while working with teams
  • Experience in setting goals, training programs, and evaluation methods for team members
  • Growth mindset with a bias towards shipping every week
  • Ability to switch between the roles of a mentor, problem solver, and a benevolent dictator as appropriate for the person and the situation
