This job requires limited attendance on-site in Arlington (Crystal City), VA. 

We are seeking a COMMITTED TEAM MEMBER, who can be THOUGHTFUL and SUPPORTIVE, yet DELIBERATE as a technician who takes the time to get things right. You must be a problem solver. If you are selected, we will sponsor you for Clearance with the U.S. Department of Defense.

REQUIRED (not negotiable): 

  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP and clearable. 
  • 5 years work experience as a Linux System Administrator from the command line. 
  • 4-year degree in IT, Computer Science or related profession. 
  • 3 years creating application build and deployment script processes. 
  • Experience using Git to manage source code. 
  • Experience managing disk space and file systems storage. 
  • Experience hosting web applications for development teams. 
  • Experience deploying applications to an AWS cloud environment. 
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting AWS EC2 environments.
  • Experience creating and maintaining configuration and security documentation. 
  • Must obtain COMPTIA Security+

PREFERRED CANDIDATES: 

  • Manage local Government workstations for the team.
  • Experience managing in Oracle or MySQL servers.
  • Engage directly with Government stakeholders.
  • Experience writing or maintaining PHP code.
  • Share responsibilities on other teams.

Our Expectations

The candidate should understand what we are looking for and have confidence in being able to provide it.

  • In a face-to-face technical discussion, demonstrate a proficiency of container configuration using Docker Compose.
  • As a strong Linux administrator, take over maintenance of the container image repository and maintenance of AWS instances for web and database servers.
