Job Description:
Serve as a member of the project team providing programmatic and acquisition support for a Navy major acquisition program’s goals, objectives and acquisition strategies. Assist in the management of records, schedules and correspondence; long-term planning; deliverables tracking; task management; and assistance in the development of milestones and objectives. Developing required plans, concept papers, white papers and senior level briefings. Providing support for action and milestone planning and tracking, project planning and progress, program metrics establishment and tracking, and active participation in designated meetings and milestone reviews. In response to Navy inquiries, provide executive level liaison with, and communication support functions to Navy, DoD, Congress and other agencies and organizations. Perform program monitoring and control efforts, including critical path management, forecasting upcoming and recurring program events, planning and preparation for critical events, formulating meeting agendas and attendance lists, preparing and promulgating meeting minutes as required and development of Milestone charts.
Basic Qualifications:
- 0 - 5 years of experience with DoD acquisition policies and procedures
- Knowledge of DoD 5000 series and SECNAV Instructions
- Experience with continuous and effective integration and interaction with internal and external program stakeholders
- Experience in reviewing products and deliverables in accordance with Government requirements and preparation of analyses and recommendations of acceptance to the Program Office
- Ability to make policy recommendations to the Program Office (Application of regulations and strategies, policy making, resource impacts, change orders, etc.)
- Facilitate and provide required technical information from corporate expertise for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), special advisory boards, off-sites, working groups and audit teams
- Assist in managing strategic and organizational planning and execution processes
- Ability to drive project timelines to completion with a cross-functional team and build relationships and influence all levels in an organization
- Ability to develop and present content in a concise and professional manner
- Secret clearance required
- BA or BS degree required
