Since most financial institutions rely on traditional credit scoring to assess risk, that means these people can't access affordable financial products. Instead, they resort to high-interest credit cards, payday loans, and trigger overdraft fees to make ends meet — which ultimately push them into deeper cycles of debt.
Pinwheel provides an API platform that makes it easy to connect payroll accounts like ADP and Gusto to any app. By unlocking the wealth of identity, income and employment data that sits in these systems, alongside direct access to paychecks, we can help innovators build the next generation of financial products that increase access for the underserved while improving the businesses of our partner fintechs, banks, and lenders.
Who are we looking for?
Over the last year, we’ve built out our product and brought on our first clients. Now we’re looking for a Startup Account Executive to work on our Commercial Team. You will source and close commercial contracts with startups leveraging the Pinwheel service. You will “own” the full relationship, from opportunity generation, pricing/structuring, and the legal contracting process and beyond. Once a client is signed you will work with the client and our customer success team to drive utilization and upsells. This is only the 2nd full time sales hire so there is a huge opportunity to drive impact and grow with Pinwheel!
What will you be doing?
Your primary responsibility will be sourcing and signing new clients.
Use your knowledge of Pinwheel’s solutions to suggest how our API may be leveraged by prospects.
Work with the Sales Lead to identify prospects and create outbound campaigns.
Work to ensure client/prospect satisfaction by anticipating their needs and understanding their goals.
What skills are necessary?
3+ years of fintech b2b sales experience.
Demonstrable track record of being scrappy, and finding creative solutions to tough, and oftentimes ambiguous problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the desire to work in an external role.
High growth startup experience a plus, but not required
