Ping Identity is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Financial Systems to lead our financial systems team and drive transformative change. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing complex financial systems landscapes, particularly within high-growth SaaS organizations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial systems architecture, coupled with a proven ability to lead teams, manage large-scale projects, and provide expert consultation to stakeholders. Expertise in Netsuite, Anaplan, Concur, and Coupa is essential, as is a track record of successfully scaling financial systems to support evolving business needs. This role will be pivotal in optimizing our financial processes, enhancing data integrity, and driving strategic decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Team Management:
    • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the financial systems team, fostering a high-performance culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Mentor, develop, and empower team members, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across finance, accounting, operations, and IT.
  • Financial Systems Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial systems strategy and roadmap that aligns with Ping Identity's overall business objectives and supports long-term growth.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in financial systems, recommending and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new financial systems and tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Consulting and Advisory Services:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial systems best practices, providing expert guidance on system optimization, process improvement, and data management.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and enhanced control.
    • Provide expert consultation on system design, configuration, and customization to meet specific business requirements.
  • System Management and Optimization:
    • Oversee the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and administration of all financial systems, including Netsuite, Anaplan, Concur, and Coupa.
    • Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls.
    • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Project Management and Implementation:
    • Lead and manage complex financial systems projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Budget Management and Financial Reporting:
    • Develop and manage the financial systems budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial data and analysis to senior management, supporting informed decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain robust reporting and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 12+ years of progressive experience in financial systems management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience leading and managing financial systems teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
    • Extensive experience in consulting and providing advisory services on financial systems optimization and process improvement.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep expertise in Netsuite, Anaplan, Concur, and Coupa.
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting regulations, internal control frameworks, and SOX compliance.
    • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools.
  • Leadership and Communication:
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem Solving and Innovation:
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and develop innovative solutions.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Project Management:
    • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
