What you’ll do
- You will focus the team on quality execution for highly technical projects, coordinate and mentor a team of engineers, and evolve architectural and operational best practices.
- You will play a key role in enabling our continued scaling as we onboard new customers and target exponential growth for the future.
- You will drive continuous improvement in process and implement controls to increase efficiency and productivity of engineering practices.
- You will manage a tight knit team tasked to improve the team’s technical ability, utilization, and overall efficiency by establishing best practices and creating individual development plans.
- You will enable the team to self-organize and to achieve sustained high velocity and predictability including establishing metrics, reports, and status updates.
- You will manage the task assignment and team’s capacity across multiple projects.
- You will become a trusted partner for the team and collaborate closely with leadership in Product Management and Engineering to deliver expected results.
- You will expand solution capabilities, implement new features driven by technological innovation that will lead the voice security market.
- You will become the go-to person to field all technical questions around the products your team works on

Your skill-set:
- 2+ years experience as a manager of software engineering teams
- 5-8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering highly scalable, fast performing API-based products.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Ability to influence Product requirements and roadmap, and contribute to design documentation
- Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery
- Experience developing services in AWS or similar
- Strong collaboration & proven success in partnering with stakeholders
- Scrum/Agile methodologies knowledge
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration
- Experience with Python and/or Go and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience with cross-functional team coordination such as Support, Security or Legal departments.
- Knowledge of authentication, fraud, or customer experience concepts preferred
- Experience communicating with customers around issues and new features preferred

Within 30 days you’ll

- Complete onboarding and attend New Employee Orientation sessions with other new Pindroppers
Within 60 days you’ll
- You’ll understand expectations for the team, and be able to start planning a vision while coordinating with external teams to set expectations for engineering deliverables and interactions.
Within 90 days you’ll
- You’ll have an intermediate level of familiarity with the product and architecture to start making technical decisions while establishing and enforcing team execution methodology.
- You will develop a strong relationship with the team and you will be able to articulate the strength and career direction for each of your reports.
