This role requires an experienced, self-motivated individual to maintain and improve IT systems performance, security and efficiency. Our growing organization seeks an open-minded, detail-oriented individual with follow through skills. The Network Systems Administrator will adjust to changing priorities, anticipate and adapt to circumstances as needed.

  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware and anti-virus protection software and other applications
  • Respond to switching and router issues
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot server issues
  • Analyze, detect and fix potential systems issues
  • Plan, design and execute on projects that support the IT infrastructure or business requests/needs
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues and act as an escalation point for other IT support team members
  • Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
  • Provide support for various Phone systems, including enhancements or conversion projects
  • Provide support for internal EMR system, as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel locally (20-40%) and ability to travel out of state (5%)
  • Ability to respond to issues/alerts/outages on nights and weekends
  • 6+ years’ experience in system administration
  • MCSE certification is highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of network administration
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset with strong network troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
  • Experience with VMware, switches, routers, firewalls and servers
  • Support of Windows operating systems and Active Directory
  • Basic understanding of PCI and HIPAA certification requirements as it relates to system requirements and best practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and/or end users
  • Positive, professional and friendly attitude, and demonstrated experience as a self-motivated member of a work team
  • Must be able to plan and lead projects from start to finish
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in a senior or lead role is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
