SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for providing lower extremity vascular ultrasound services and consultations while a physician performs endovenous laser treatments (EVLT), to diagnose and treat venous conditions. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with a commitment to maintaining certifications and ongoing education, are essential for success in this role.

SCHEDULE  

  • Full Time Position (32 - 34 hours x week)
  • 3 - 4 days x week with 6 - 10 hr shifts
  • Must be available to start as early as 6:30 AM if needed
  • Based out of dermatology practice in Boynton Beach, FL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform vascular ultrasound procedures during endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) for varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Generate patient interest and provide thorough consultations to explain treatment options.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure their satisfaction and recovery progress.
  • Maintain active certification and good standing with the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), including completion of CME requirements.
  • Hold a current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
  • Adapt to the demands of a fast-paced healthcare setting, delivering consistent, high-quality patient care with an excellent bedside manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular program.
  • Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) through CCI.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to medical ethics.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, troubleshooting, and oral communication.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work requires sitting for extended periods. Frequent standing and walking for prolonged periods, as well as some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds. Requires moderate typing skills and sufficient manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other office equipment, as necessary. Normal or corrected vision to acceptable levels for common office work. Hearing must be in the acceptable range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for variable periods of time.
