The Role
The Honest Company has kicked off a search for a Quality Operations Specialist. In this role, you’ll assist in maintaining high-quality, effective processes and systems and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at The Honest Company’s Distribution Centers.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure compliance to quality systems and cGMP programs.
- Track and report on First Article inspections.
- Oversee the review and release of Component and Finished Good inventory based on acceptance criteria and analytical data.
- Hands on incoming inspection training. Review or audit of inspection records and COA’s for accuracy to specifications and standards.
- Ensure the 3PL’s properly coordinate product inspection, prioritize when needed and complete inspections in the required timeframe.
- Validate 3PL’s nonconforming AQL reports, Issuance of NC’s (nonconformances) within 24 hours of their identification. Provide samples to corporate office and suppliers for their investigation. Assist with the investigation and resolution of quality related issues. Support CAPA’s and SCAR’s.
- Responsible for the oversight of the RTV of nonconforming products.
- When nonconforming quality related in-house rework is approved, plan, delegate, and confirm the rework once completed. Calculate chargebacks and approve credit memos.
- Maintain applicable parts of the Supplier Quality Scorecard and other related metrics.
- Pull reports as needed.
- Coordinate 3rd party required product testing and sample submissions when applicable.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures, and other quality related documents.
- Approval of specifications.
- Support USDA or similar audits and provide supporting documentation when required.
- Follow safety procedures.

What you’ll need:
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
- More than 3 years of quality control or assurance experience in a cGMP environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to appropriately communicate information to cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers.
- Knowledge and ability to execute statistical sampling, AQL/ANSI interpretation, and read/interpret specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Pivot charts, VLOOKUP etc.), Electronic QMS, and WMS experience.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is $25.67/hr to $35.32/hr. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
