The Role

Are you ready drive sales growth at a growing, mission-driven CPG company? As our VP of Sales Planning & Operations you'll be at the heart of our revenue engine, orchestrating strategy and execution. You'll working closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This role will be reporting and working closely to the SVP, Customer Sales. Your role will focus on maximizing efficiency and ensuring smooth execution across all aspects of our sales operations. What You’ll Do:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive growth that are aligned with company objectives, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Provide strategic guidance and operational support for new product launches, ensuring successful market penetration and sales growth.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the sales planning process, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across sales operations.
  • Develop and deliver sales training programs to equip sales teams with the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Manage sales budgets effectively, allocating resources efficiently to maximize ROI and achieve financial targets.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor sales performance, track progress against targets, and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partnership

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies. Facilitate communication and alignment between departments to support seamless operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with key customers with a deep understanding of their needs and lead with solutions to drive customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the sales planning and operations team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure team members are equipped to meet their objectives.

Change Management

  • Drive and manage change initiatives to adapt to evolving market conditions and business needs.
  • Champion new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience: Proven track record of 10+ years in sales planning, operations, or related roles specifically within the CPG industry and a deep understanding of the US channel and retailer landscape with at least 5+ years in a leadership position.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to work across multiple data sources to provide a holistic perspective and influence decision making across multiple levels and functions of an organization to drive results. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise: Proven track record of delivering results and driving sales growth in a competitive market environment. Strong understanding of sales processes, organizational design, customer segmentation and engagement, sales training and enablement, financial acumen, and operational management. Experience in sales forecasting tools and CRM systems is a plus.

 Compensation 

The pay range for this role is $200,000- $250,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
