Job Title: Architect

Job Duration: 40 Hours / Week, Permanent position, Full time

Job Duties: 

• Responsible for designing software solutions for complex financial business problems and features
• Translating high-level business problems into scalable design and code and creating libraries & utilities for larger product consumption
• Write performant, unit-tested code, develop object-oriented models and design data structure for new software projects taking systems aspects into account
• Create platforms and services in your product/team using your strong background in distributed systems design and large-scale storage systems
• Develop product requirements and operational plans
• Deploy best practices for software development and champion their adoption, while working with the product manager to evaluate and plan projects in an agile development framework including any inter-dependencies.
• Mentor junior engineers on software design, coding practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD) strategies
• Own the scalability and reliability of core systems, cross-functional systems, and individual customer ecosystems; and Derive insights and learnings and shares with teams.

Job Requirements:

• Required Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field
• 10+ years of experience as a Software Developer or closely related, including responsibility for designing and developing software solutions.
• In the alternative, the employer will accept Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) + 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or closely related role, including responsibility for designing and developing software solutions
• Prior experience must include 6 years of experience with:
  • Building highly scalable business applications and implementing complex business flows
  • Working with a programming language including either Java, C, or C++ to write maintainable, scalable, unit-tested code
  • Driving design and architecture of multiple subsystems
  • Object oriented design, design patterns, and designing intuitive module and class-level interfaces
  • Test Driven Development
• This is a hybrid position that may telecommute from a home office within California (Alameda County) 80% of time
• Position requires 20% in-office work at the company offices in El Segundo, CA.

  Salary Range:    $170,955.00 - $176,000.00/Year
