Compliance Program Advisory plays a very crucial role in ensuring all functional units are duly guided
during the development life cycle of the new product along with regular guidance on the maintenance
of the product on the platform. The unit also plays a very important role in managing the compliance
requirements as per new regulatory guidelines from RBI, NPCI, IRDA, SEBI, AMFI etc. and ensuring
implementation of the same in various different products offered on the PhonePe platform.
Compliance teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on
regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and
test the adequacy of the firm's compliance control environment.
PhonePe is looking for a self-driven person who can work in our Compliance team to help review the
digital products and services being offered on its platform and ensure mapping of all risks rightly
against all the Products. The job requires close coordination with legal, product, operations and data
teams for providing compliance perspective on cross-functional initiatives to help drive the company’s
compliance efforts.
Responsibilities
• Assist in review of the new product and offerings on the PhonePe Platform.
• Collaborate with the Product team to take care of the compliance and risk related issues of
the product through its entire product life cycle.
• Assist in mapping of preventative and detective controls to mitigate compliance risk,
documenting the requirements and managing implementation.
• Maintain oversight of key compliance metrics, regularly reporting on status and trends
• Develop, update and maintain the relevant compliance procedures and methodologies.
• Review existing processes and develop new processes as required.
• Assist in preparing monthly Product Compliance Dashboard, with health of each project and
relevant risk mapping.
• Assist in quality checks in project reviews and audits and ensure compliance post conducting
the control testing of the product features
• Conduct Pre-Prod Audits of the product/ feature and ensure mapping of all gaps for tracking
and closure
• Handle and manage GRC tool for the product reviews
• Develop and review merchant onboarding process in co-ordination with business and product
teams
• Handle and advise on merchant onboarding exceptions
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of experience in compliance and regulatory team preferably from fintech or internet
product-based companies
• Can thoughtfully develop and implement pre-defined compliance frameworks and processes
• Passion to understand new product and processes and an eye for detailing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort in a fast-paced, highly-dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
