Position Overview

Putnam PHMR is looking to recruit a consultant or senior consultant with experience in developing and implementing HTA and market access strategy. The role will be centered on market access strategy and presents a strong opportunity to further develop expertise in the market access field whilst growing your understanding of the global payer environment, HTA methods, processes and strategic market access needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project management:
    • To manage various types of pricing & market access projects, including but not limited to:
      • Landscaping analysis
      • Primary research
      • Early advice
      • Global value dossiers and any other relevant reports
      • HTA review
      • Product value communication
      • Pricing projects
      • (For the Senior Consultant level) To provide strategic advice and insight to clients on different areas of market access
      • (For the Senior Consultant level) Previous experience in the different types of projects listed above is required
  • Business Development
      • To communicate with clients to understand their needs and achieve their goals
      • To develop proposals and participate to bid defense, when required, with senior staff support
  • Line management (for the Senior Consultant level):
      • To coach and mentor junior staff
      • To identify training needs and development opportunities
      • To conduct performance review

Putnam PHMR prides itself on its support for people entering a new role. To ensure your success in this new role, we will work with you to generate a comprehensive development plan that will include formal training and development and targeted on-the-job training.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • University degree in pharmacy, medicine, public health, life sciences, economics, or a similar degree
  • A second degree in market access/health economics is considered as a plus
  • At least 4 years (for the consultant) / 5+ years (for the senior consultant) of experience in market access, preferably in a consulting company specialized in market access
  • Deep understanding of global HTA frameworks, the market access requirements, drug development process, health care systems
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Able to multi-task, proven time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure and challenges
  • Attention to details
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Communication skills: good at communicating complex ideas in a clear and succinct manner
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written). Proficiency in one or more European languages other than English is a plus
