About the Philo Content Team:
Philo’s content team is tasked with maintaining the content and packaging strategy, programmer relationships, and negotiating licensing agreements. In addition, the team looks to create new lines of revenue for the company, via advertising partnerships, new content verticals, etc.

What You'll Do:
- Lead Philo’s content strategy driven by audience insights, market dynamics leveraging your industry experience and expertise.
- Strategically identify, source, and create business models for new programming opportunities and verticals (e.g. FAST, AVOD, SVOD, etc).
- Lead cross functional efforts to analyze and launch new content and business opportunities including market analysis, due diligence, product requirement definition, and driving internal consensus to decisions.
- Lead negotiations with senior executives at content companies (e.g. programmers, studios, production companies, etc.) supporting new and/or existing businesses.
- Represent content interests and provide expertise on internal goal based teams
- Build and manage relationships with various sized programming groups, studios, content creators, etc.
- Be an ambassador for the Philo brand by participating and representing Philo at industry events.
What You’ll Bring:
- A passion for content and television and where the industry is headed
- Deep understanding of the current media landscape and trends - MVPDs, VMPVDS, OTT, FAST, AVOD, D2C, etc.
- Minimum 10 years experience in content licensing, strategy or a similar field
- Someone who balances the importance of viewership and audience data in making content decisions with a keen eye for interesting content
- Strong communication and ability to tailor messages to business, financial, product, and technical audiences
- A growth and ownership mindset with a passion for prospecting, unlocking untapped value, and pursuing new business
- Experience negotiating complex, high value content deals on ad-supported television environment
- Established relationships within the content community (programmers, studios, licensing groups)
- Problem solver, who takes a success oriented approach to complex issues and who has the innate ability to ask the ‘right questions’
- A self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, exciting environment while maintaining an unwavering dedication to quality work.

Compensation: Includes annual salary between $180K-$240K depending on experience, company stock options and health benefits.
