Design and Build:
This role works primarily with Marketing teams. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and quite literally reinventing television, creating and telling people about the most engaging product ever created, across web, mobile, and TV platforms. Each member of our team works together on the entire product experience. It’s not uncommon to go from brainstorming to polishing design details, to understanding the needs of different platforms. As a Visual Designer, you will work throughout the development process, from developing new ideas to getting the details right. 

We are looking for a designer to join the team to create visual designs for Philo product, marketing, and communications needs. You will help execute on our team’s vision of making Philo into a richly visual television brand, both creating creative directions and rolling up your sleeves to make deliverables. You should have project expertise with brand design, print, and digital marketing. You must be comfortable working across graphic, motion, and advertising media. You should be able to take an idea from concept to launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Design for product branding, digital and print ads, and communication campaigns
  • Collaborate with marketers, engineers, product designers, and managers
  • Design and deliver on assets for various product launches and media programs for Philo’s partners, including working with program imagery, graphic design, video, motion graphics, advertising, print and digital assets.
  • Test and optimize creative on multiple platforms and channels
  • Design and iterate on visuals for product interface ideas and shipping product
  • Manage external production artists
  • Give design feedback to internal and external designers

Key Qualifications:

  • Strong portfolio, a set of self-initiated projects
  • Portfolio that shows conceptual communication approach to design, across web, advertising, events, and brand 
  • 3-5 years of experience as designer, at a creative agency or an in-house team
  • Some experience with product design
  • 2-3 years of experience with advertising deliverables, including video editing, motion, and graphics
  • Attention to detail and articulating design considerations
  • Experience with television content and marketing needs
