Precision for Medicine has built one of the world’s most extensive biobanks and sample collection networks, capable of meeting the stringent needs of any disease research program. We are hiring an Inside Sales Associate to support global Business Development for Translational Sciences, with a focus on supporting the sales of Biospecimens. This includes taking orders and closing/winning biospecimens business. The position will also include triaging inbound leads for Translational Sciences, responding to inquiries, and managing Biospecimens requests and orders in conjunction with the Biospecimens Business Development group.

 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute directly to top line revenue growth and help increase the speed and effectiveness of how Precision responds to and fulfills inquiries and order requests.
  • Support the Business Development team
    • Support Business Development Executives in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business, challenges and strategy, in order to become the partner of choice
    • Triage leads from Business Development key accounts
    • Create and close orders in support of Business Development key accounts
  • Continually work toward becoming an expert in biospecimens and their consumers
  • Assistance with ad-hoc requests of documents & decks by operations and sales
  • Communicating status of outstanding opportunities with business development team
  • Maintain related account, contact, and opportunity data in CRM (Salesforce) and Marketing automation systems (Hubspot)
  • Provide assistance in deploying strategic business plans (creating reports from CRM System to help identify opportunities to maximize plan value (product upsell / cross sell / new proposition development),
  • Work on upcoming meetings and industry events preparation to ensure we are meeting those identified leads / targets at conferences
  • Contributing to social media promotion including conference outreach with existing and potential clients
  • Perform QC review of customer Salesforce profiles
  • Assist with other relevant requests from management

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline

Other Required:

  • Strong organizational/written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Executes time-sensitive matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Exhibits high self-motivation, and is able to work and plan independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, as evidenced by punctuality, ability to deliver on commitments, an understanding of the service culture and positive interactions with customers and teammates, including good interpersonal skills
  • Displays sound business judgment and a proactive, independent work style
  • Is proficient in MS Office software programs and computer applications
  • Handles sensitive issues with discretion
  • Works well independently and cooperatively with others to achieve common goals in a virtual environment
  • Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with others inside or outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support
  • Ability to drive, work in an office environment and availability for occasional travel including overnight stay(s)
  • Ability to work with diverse environments, both globally and culturally
  • Experience working in CRMs, such as Salesforce
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

  • 1 - 3 years in an Internal Sales or related position in the healthcare or CRO industry
  • Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Science, or Healthcare experience

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
