The Inside Sales role will drive new customer acquisition in key focus segments for Petuum. It requires the ability to articulate how artificial intelligence and machine learning can impel change in a number of different business processes across key verticals such as manufacturing, healthcare and financial services. Researching potential customers, understanding their business, prospecting and engaging with them to develop the right new opportunities for Petuum will be critical to the success of this role.
- Target account engagement to develop business alignment opportunities
- Follow up on in-bound leads and developing connections
- Booking meetings and building a pipeline
- Cultivating client relationships and reaching the right champions inside customer organizations
- Building contacts and utilizing the right Petuum resources for customer meetings
- Supporting the field team throughout the pre-sales cycle
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications or related field.
- Must have: Prior 3-4 years of sales experience selling multiple software products; great phone & email skills
- Ability to learn quickly and be able to apply the potential of artificial intelligence to a range of business scenarios.
- Comfortable with applying structure to ambiguous project & business challenges and bringing them to resolution
- A track record of outcomes and ownership, whether in closing deals or coordinating broad business efforts that require thoughtful strategic planning and an attention to the nuances of individual organizations.
- Relationship building with experience of working with a broad range of personalities.
- Awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses, as well as a willingness to involve teammates with complementary abilities and to let others lead.
