POSITION TITLE: Senior Associate, Content Development

LOCATION: National

REPORT TO: Sr. Manager of Content and Social

The Senior Associate, Content Development is responsible for collaborating with the content marketing team to assist in the development and execution of our content strategy. Your work will play a key role in enhancing our brand presence and engaging our target audiences through compelling content across various digital platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Content Management, Development, & Strategy

  • Work closely with departments across the organization, such as Development, B2B sales, recruitment and admissions, and more to create engaging, on-brand content that aligns with organization-defined goals and objectives.
  • Source, conduct interviews for, write compelling narratives, and create videos and other collateral that illustrate Per Scholas’ impact on learners, as well as highlight partnerships with employers, funders, and community members across all Per Scholas campuses
  • Manage database of learner and alumni stories in Salesforce, volunteer interviews, and partner and funder testimonials for departments across the organization
  • Write clean, concise, well-polished,error-free copy aligned with organizational branding and messaging guidelines
  • Conceptualize, create, produce, and manage monthly impact report content
  • Manage website news pieces, articles, and highlights about Per Scholas, contribute to new website landing pages as requested, while ensuring the design and content aligns with our branding guidelines
  • Support cross-organization needs for content and branding
  • Manage value-added blogs and messaging to live on the website
  • Conduct research on industry-related topics to support content creation and strategy
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to develop content calendars and ensure consistent communication across social platforms
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for new content and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
  • Video creation using Canva and other tools and content strategizing 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or relevant field required
  • 2-3 years experience in communications, marketing, copywriting, advertising, and/or social media
  • Excellent storytelling skills - writing and editingstrong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing principles and content management systems is a plus
  • Experience in crafting compelling talking points and press releases
  • Experience working with CRM tools and strategy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles is beneficial
  • Exceptional persuasive and creative writing and editing/proofreading skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our organization’s various types of content to appeal to multiple target audiences (prospective learners, funders, partners)
  • Content development skills using platforms such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Canva
  • Understanding of social media platforms, including experience with both running ads and creating content for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and Instagram
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple workstreams/projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinars, Slack, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and HubSpot a plus

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides and alignment with qualifications and experience.
