Position Title: Junior Staff Accountant
Introduction:
The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for implementing best-practice policies to ensure the accurate, and timely processing of monthly accounting functions. The roles & duties require a hands-on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail-oriented individual with an eye for process improvement and a knack for working independently in a high-volume environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Organizes the administration and facilitates the maintenance of state sales tax exemption forms
- Monitor AP mailbox and Airbase AP module for support; manage employee expenses, virtual cards and corporate card reimbursements.
- Manage major vendor expense allocations
- Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization
- Prepares monthly General Ledger and Balance Sheet analysis.
- Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Support monthly financial close process, including preparing account reconciliations
- Work within multiple entities to ensure standard processes are being followed across the organization
- Evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas that can be improved for better efficiency and controls through automation
- Assist with projects, and ad hoc requests as necessary
Here’s what you have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
- 5+ years of Accounting experience
- ERP system experience in SAGE Intacct, procurement, or a similar system is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets required
- Ability to work independently, with a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; position is highly visible in the company

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $65,000 with a range between $50,000 and $70,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
