POSITION TITLE: Manager, Recruitment & Admissions
REPORTS TO: Site Director
LOCATION: Baltimore, Maryland
Summary
The Manager of Recruitment & Admissions is responsible for supporting the implementation of an inclusive and innovative admissions process to drive quality candidates into training programs in Baltimore and successfully meet enrollment benchmarks.
Local Learner Admissions
- Manage a rigorous outreach and admissions process throughout its entire lifecycle, ensuring targets and benchmarks for recruitment and admissions are achieved each cycle.
- Attend networking events to increase Per Scholas’ visibility in the community to recruit prospective learners with an interest and passion for careers in the IT industry.
- Conduct presentations and administer off-site information sessions.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with referral partner organizations to sustain a pipeline of candidates with a focus on mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.
- Receive and process candidate applications, including conducting phone screens, coordinating information sessions, administering relevant assessments, scheduling, and participating in face-to-face candidate interviews.
- Communicate with candidates (including notifying applicants of their acceptance status) while quickly building rapport and trust.
- Make referrals to supportive services and/or alternative programs for applicants, as appropriate.
- Coordinate retention activities (Meetups, networking opportunities, etc.) for specific alumni populations including women and young adults.
Salesforce Admissions Operations
- Utilize Salesforce to track learner candidates through the admissions process, noting assessments, interview outcomes, and workflow status.
- Create reporting tools to track the admissions pipeline by cohort to ensure enrollment benchmarks are successfully reached.
- Track all required enrollment solutions in Salesforce for each launched cohort.
Qualifications
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of precision and an eye on team sustainability
- Previous experience managing cross-functional relationships and multiple stakeholder priorities
- 1-3 years of experience managing and developing others, preferred
- Ability to balance learner-centric lens and approach with any other client-driven pressure
- Excellent written, communication, and follow-up skills to coordinate with team members, instructors, vendors, management and other stakeholders
- Organizational skills and time management skills to keep projects on track to the finish
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Highest level of attention to detail and staying organized
- Ability to prioritize, execute tasks, and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- A people leader who cares about and invests in direct reports sets them up to succeed and supports their future growth
For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of $60,000/year, with a range between $55,000/year and $60,000/year, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
