Position Title: IT Support Instructor ( with Security Fundamentals) Hybrid
Location: Denver, Colorado (Hybrid-position) average 3 days onsite 2 remote with some flexibility
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Per Scholas is seeking a multi-talented Instructor and Technology professional to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student population who are seeking to acquire skills and credentials that will prepare them for career opportunities in technology. Technical training competencies include, but are not limited to: hardware, software, networking, security, server, mobility, virtualization, and project management.
Required
- Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating system end-user experience
- At least 1 year of teaching experience
- At least 1 year of IT work experience
A+ certification (1101-1102 Series)
- Proficiency with Active Directory, GPO’s, user-profile management
- Experience with MS Server (2016-2022), SCCM/WSUS, Patch Management, General understanding of Office 365 administration
- General knowledge of performance monitoring and metrics with Perfmon.
- Experience with supporting desktop hardware and software, installations, imaging, upgrades, printers, scanners, and general end-user equipment.
- Proficiency with LAN/WAN, routing configuration, and switching.
- Should be familiar with the OSI model and protocol dataflow. Working knowledge of Client/Server Environments.
- Proficiency with remote administration and remote administration tools: i.e. InTune, Remote Access Tools (RDP), Teamviewer, Bomgar.
- Experience with providing direct, over the phone or remote troubleshooting of end-user desktop, equipment, applications, or connectivity issues in a timely fashion.
- Thorough understanding of Network/OS Security concepts and procedures
- Ability to write content and curriculum related to instructional outcomes
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and administration
Preferred
- Google IT Certification
- Current Network+ Certification (N10-006 or N10-007)
- Windows Certification
- Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ITIL implementation in support of the Help Desk, preferably ServiceNow
- Experience using an SLA ticketing system with a customer/consumer service-driven approach
What You’ll Do
- Deliver virtual training preparing students for entry-level careers in Cybersecurity Essentials which includes daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance, one-on-one tutoring, evaluation and monitoring of individual student progress daily, addressing student violations with students in a consistent manner, and more
- Work virtually in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum to identify and continually evaluate and evolve the training as demanding new technologies become available.
- Provide students with access to relevant sources for outside learning on technologies and study aids relevant to the curriculum
- Work closely with the team to identify student needs, provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular student-status meetings.
- Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with student grades, certification, scores, and progress notes.
- Create, submit and maintain training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and any other classroom materials for approval and files.
- Work closely with staff at other sites to ensure the integrity of implementing the model
- Maintain a minimum of an 80% class pass and graduation rate for every cohort
For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary of 60,000-65,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
