Director, Recruitment & Admissions

Learner Facing, Campus-Based - Silver Spring, MD - Full Time

Reports to: Managing Director, NCR

Location: Silver Spring, MD

 

Per Scholas is seeking a Director, Recruitment & Admissions to provide leadership, oversight, and implementation of an inclusive, innovative admissions strategy to successfully meet enrollment benchmarks in the National Capital Region.  Managing a small team of recruitment and admissions professionals, the Director will be responsible for all aspects of R&A processes at the NCR campus, including assessing and interviewing candidates, ensuring accurate collection and recording of data on all applicants in Salesforce, and growing the pipeline of viable candidates for the program by developing relationships with community organizations and collaborating with the national PS digital marketing team.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

 

Performance Management

  • Directly manage admissions and recruitment team, fostering a culture of accountability, support, and continuous improvement for all team members
  • Work in partnership with the Managing Director to meet key outcome measures including enrollment, certification, graduation, placement, and retention, for all training tracks, but with specific emphasis on cohorts that are part of a randomized controlled trial taking place at the NCR campus.
  • Maintain a rigorous and fair community engagement and admissions process, ensuring candidate communication occurs in a timely manner and class enrollment goals are met
  • Ensure program data and student information is regularly updated in Salesforce
  • Support reporting and data analysis activities real-time performance management as well as funder reports as needed
  • Create a positive, professional, and high-quality student experience from admissions to post-graduation 
  • Collaborate with the instructional, career advancement and business solutions teams to ensure processes and expectations are well- aligned and prepared to support learners through the programmatic pipeline.

 

Pipeline Management and Development

  • Drive the development of a robust partner ecosystem that drives and delivers value to students and corporate partners. 
  • Conduct outreach including informational sessions with local organizations and their constituencies to support development of direct applicant pipelines.  
  • Support PS relationships within the local business community in collaboration with the Managing Director and the Business Solutions team, with an emphasis on understanding employer hiring needs.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:

 

Professional Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in recruitment, admissions, or talent acquisition functions, with background in competitive admissions processes preferred 
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Experience using social media platforms and digital marketing strategies for promotion, relationship generating, and brand building purposes preferred
  • Experience with enrolling candidates into randomized control trials / program evaluations a plus
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the Greater Washington region’s IT talent/workforce needs and future growth trends 
  • Knowledge of and connections with local/regional educational organizations and community service providers 
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation
  • Experience managing and analyzing data to inform strategies and tactics (ideally utilizing Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Salesforce, HubSpot preferred

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary  range between $80,000 and $85,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
