About the Role:
Perpay, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.
The Software Engineer will contribute to Perpay’s codebase, test and release features into production, partner with other teams like product, design, data science & analytics, operations, and other stakeholders to ship new features and products.
Additional specific job duties will include:
- Develop software features for our customers and our internal finance, operational, data science, and risk teams;
- Plan and implement design and technical specifications;
- Develop software systems that are reliable, maintainable, and efficient with an emphasis on financial safety and integrity of financial data;
- Collaborate with other engineers in executing and iterating new features;
- Test new features in order to release into production;
- Assist the support team with troubleshooting and resolution of issues reported on production systems;
- Generate ideas for innovative technological solutions to increase the quality of Perpay systems;
- Ongoing interaction with project managers and testing on application usability, features, and performance;
- Analyze data to determine, recommend, and plan installation of system modifications and upgrades;
- Use of AJAX/JavaScript/HTML5/CSS/GitExperience with RESTful API design to develop and manage software features;
- Write server-side code, perform data analyzation, and contribute to client-side single page application; and
- Focus on writing and deploying clear, readable, testable code.
Requirements:
- The Software Engineer must have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
