About us…

Permutive is powering the future of targeted advertising on the Open Web today. As the only Audience Platform built on edge computing, we enable premium advertisers and publishers to plan, build and activate cohorts — all while keeping everyone’s data safe.

We’re a remote-first B2B SaaS company with 150+ people—centred around our London and New York hubs—and growing rapidly. We have received funding from some of the world’s best investors, including a recent $75m Series C led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.

About the role…

We're currently working with most premium publishers and media companies in North America. Your role will be to focus on those we haven't currently formed partnerships with; working strategically to understand their businesses and any changes, decision-making processes, and ultimately how we can best demonstrate our value to turn them into customers. This will involve nurturing prospects, offering valuable insight to different decision-making groups, and supporting our Sales Directors.

This is a career-defining opportunity for someone with experience in a traditional Business Development Representative role who is looking to take their next step towards becoming a Sales Director - a journey which we will actively support you on.

We’re looking for people who are excited by growth, embrace responsibility, and are excited by enormous challenges. It’s a really exciting time to join, experience start-up life, and shape who we become.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Collaborate strategically with Sales Directors and the wider marketing team to research and identify target accounts.
  • Identify and create new qualified sales opportunities from inbound leads.
  • Target key decision-makers to create strongly qualified leads from outbound sales activity.
  • Become an industry and product expert - you’ll be the first person to speak with prospective customers, answer questions, handle. objections and get them excited about how Permutive can add value.
  • Hit sales targets on a quarterly basis; log and manage all your sales activity on Salesforce (we’re firm believers in data!).
  • Prospecting with senior leaders and C-level executives across Operations, Revenue, Advertising Sales and Data.

The experience we're looking for...

  • B2B sales development experience (inbound & outbound), with a complex technical product, preferably within adtech / digital media.
  • Experience generating your own pipeline, with a proven record of meeting targets.
  • A consultative and value-driven sales approach, where you understand every conversation is different.
  • A motivated self-starter who is able to operate independently.
  • A confident communicator, with a knack for asking great questions to uncover customer pain points.

We'd be particularly excited if you have...

  • Experience working with, or for, Publishers.

What we're offering…

We take a structured, objective approach to salary-setting, which is based on market information, our compensation strategy, and your experience and capability as assessed through our interview process. For a candidate who fits our criteria, we'd pay around $75,000 - $90,000 base + bonus + options.

Compensating Success

The measure of success in this role is a combination of revenue closed on supported accounts and business meetings booked within key target accounts. If your target per quarter is $250k for new business supported and you booked 16 business meetings, you can expect around $10k per quarter of additional gross compensation. The true earning potential is significantly higher as we have generous accelerators to reward excellent performance and 100% quota attainment is our minimum expectation.

Benefits…

  • Stock options
  • Health & dental is covered 100% for Permutive employees and 75% for dependents
  • Parental Leave Policy entitling new parents up to 26 weeks of leave on full pay
  • Everyone has an annual learning budget of $3,000 which we encourage you to use to level up
  • Time to rest and relax with unlimited paid leave (minimum expectation of 25 days annually)
  • Extensive training and development opportunities
  • 401(k) plan
  • Free access to Spill, our mental health partners

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past.
