Job Summary:

The Technical Solution Consultant provides prospects and Sales Managers with superior technical product knowledge. He/She is responsible for preparing and delivering detailed, value-oriented technical presentations, demonstrations and product prototypes for prospects. This includes creating demonstrations of API Integrations as well as developing a Solution Architecture together with the prospect. Technical Solution Consulting is a strategic function in the sales process. In an increasingly competitive environment, it is imperative to proof and showcase deep integration capabilities within a typically heterogenous HR IT landscape. In order to be successful, the Technical Solution Consultant takes responsibility for the deals they are assigned to and develop together with the Sales Manager and Lead Solution Consultant a winning strategy.

Considering the fact the this will be the first Employee with the role of Technical Solution Consultant, we are looking for a highly motivated, self-paced individual, capable of creating and developing a new methodology – without being able to rely on existing materials and content.

 

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform presentations on all technical aspects of PeopleDoc solutions in front of prospects, demonstrate live integration capabilities
  • Build a strong relationship to prospect’s IT team and become their trusted advisor
  • Customize presentations for specific audiences and business issues
  • Create proof of concepts that suit the prospect or client’s environment to successfully demonstrate PeopleDoc’s integration capabilities
  • Develop, build and maintain a methodology including all necessary materials for Technical Solution Consulting
  • Understand prospect technical requirements to provide optimally customized presentation and powerful technical software demonstrations
  • Develop together with the prospect as value proof a target software architecture to create a winning value proposition for the prospect’s IT team, considering the existing HR IT landscape
  • Create prospect facing presentations, whitepapers and articles highlighting PeopleDoc’s technical features and integration capabilities
  • Provide support for RFP/RFIs, proposals and other sales-support communications regarding technical questionnaires and solution overview
  • Participate in webinars, trade shows, and other marketing activities in order to promote awareness of the technical aspects of the PeopleDoc solution
  • Maintain thorough understanding and up to date knowledge of all technical aspects of PeopleDoc products

 

Prefered Qualifications:

  • Deep technical understanding of integrations in general and interface technologies (API) specifically
  • Strong software architecture skills
  • Very good understanding of technical concepts regarding technical and operational security (encryption, backups, redundancy)
  • Affinity to sales-oriented way of working
  • Ability to resolve complex technical problems during the sales cycle in close collaboration with field sales personnel
  • Comfortable and confident in public speaking settings
  • Ability to present and reframe complicated technical concepts so that a non-technical audience (zero technical knowledge) can understand
  • Good writing, editing, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with modern multi-tenant cloud technology
  • Solution oriented problem-solving capabilities. Ability to understand customer requirements and develop solution concepts to match requirements
  • Knowledge of Human Resource practices, especially in a (shared) Service Center environment is a plus

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Excellent PC skills
  • Mandatory language skills: Fluent in English and (German or French)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in informatics / information technology / business
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • French/ German /Spanish / Dutch language skills are a plus
  • Deep (functional) knowledge of HR processes

Technical SuccessFactors / Workday / Oracle / SAP HCM skills are a plus

 

Travel Requirements:

  • The Technical Solutions Consultant position requires extensive (international) travelling to perform onsite meetings with prospects within all countries the international sales team operates.
  • Extensive travelling is also required to establish and maintain a close relationship with Solution Consultants from other geographies within the International Sales Support Team as well as with technical resources in our Paris headquarter.
