Peloton is looking for a driven, dynamic privacy professional to join our growing Compliance team. The person in this role will assist Peloton’s Compliance team in supporting internal clients across all markets on privacy matters. This position requires a thorough understanding of Peloton’s multidimensional business, including its suppliers, partners, members, and competitors, in order to support the achievement of business objectives.


  • Working with Compliance, Legal and InfoSec team members to enhance Peloton’s principles around data usage and update Peloton’s governance of data privacy issues
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure the effective completion of data privacy impact assessments and to ensure that privacy-by-design is embedded into Peloton’s culture of innovation
  • Partner with product attorneys to review new products, features, and other new uses of personal information to ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and industry practices

  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive compliance programs for privacy and data security, including GDPR and CCPA, and to develop and implement global standards, policies and processes surrounding privacy and data protection 
  • Develop and conduct general and role-specific privacy trainings, including for team members responding to and actioning privacy rights requests
  • Support members of the corporate development and strategy teams on privacy and security-related legal matters, including areas related to partnerships, acquisitions, integrations, and other business development opportunities
  • Stay abreast of, and advise on, regulatory and industry developments, including supervising trends in privacy and security laws, regulations, and public policy
  • Maintain and update privacy policies and privacy notices as required or appropriate
  • In conjunction with the security and other technical teams, assist senior attorneys in supporting investigations into reported or observed privacy or security incidents, and ensure that they are resolved expeditiously


  • J.D. or equivalent practical experience 
  • 6+ years’ experience focusing on privacy matters at a top law firm or in-house practice; experience advising product teams in-house is strongly preferred;  
  • Fluency in engineering and technical terminology; experience working directly with engineers is preferred
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills, with a bias for action
  • Must be an independent and strategic problem solver who is a strong standout colleague (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities
  • Enjoy working in a constantly evolving, innovative business
  • Superb organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
