Peloton is searching for a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to establish the processes and procedures to create a nimble, strategic business approach to Failure Analysis.
Act as the subject matter expert on FA the candidate will promote their role, scope and contribution to the internal customers.
Identify capital investments and on-going maintenance routines ensuring that the best possible service and value is offered to the business
Build a fully in-house FA competence as a result of their knowledge, resources and documented procedure
Lead engineers and scientists by conducting technical investigation and accurately identifying root causes
Seek opportunities to apply FA techniques through various means and communication channels while prioritizing resources and effort
Operates various pieces of laboratory equipment to generate data, perform materials characterization testing, or preparation of test samples
Issues clear technical reports and findings for specific investigations as well as informing the broader business of failure modes and future best practice by means of technical reporting and presentation materials
When required provides expertise on future test methods, targets and recommendations for exposure to noise factors
Assist in day to day organization of the lab, including ordering consumables, maintenance of inventory, sample organization and tracking, etc.
7+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Advanced Degree (M.S) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required, PhD preferred
Six sigma certification preferred
Statistical Analysis (Python, R, Minitab)
Ability to read and analyze mechanical and electrical diagrams
Strong communications skills - knowledge of Mandarin is a plus
