Peloton Lead Mechanical Engineers are responsible for all engineering design work within their product line. They are also responsible for planning and guiding the work of engineers working on their product line. This work will include development of new products as well as support and improvement of existing products. This role collaborates closely with our Industrial Design, Product Management, and Operations team to consistently deliver best-in-class products to our customers.



  • Use your experience in treadmill design and engineering to lead engineering teams through development and improvement projects
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team on roadmap definition and future product features
  • Be responsible for estimating time and resources required for portions of the product development process
  • Direct the work of Mechanical, Electrical and Firmware engineering leads through design reviews and prototype review and testing
  • Review Engineering Requirements and test plans created by the engineering team
  • Contribute to planning for product updates and improvement based on field failures and customer feedback
  • Contribute to planning for next generation products through technology and R&D exploration
  • Work closely with a global network of suppliers on new products and supporting existing products
  • Demonstrate proactive collaboration with adjacent development teams to ensure design success, including industrial design, product management, and operations
  • Work with drafting team to ensure appropriate product definition and design controls


15-20 years mechanical design experience or experience leading an engineering team

Deep experience with treadmill design and quality and state of the art technology

BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience leading engineering teams through New Product Development
Experience doing development and production planning work with Contract Manufacturers

Excellent communication skills, including interacting with executive management
Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and SW PDM
Expertise with test and measurement tools
