The Director, Retail Visual Merchandising oversees the process of new store openings and visual rollouts within the retail spaces including but not limited to apparel, hardware, and accessories. This role is responsible for communicating and training retail staff on showroom standards. They will have a close working relationship with the Director, Environmental and Visual Merchandising Design so that they have a clear understanding/knowledge of what the motive of the design is and how the environment should function. This role reports directly to the Senior VP of Retail.

Partner with Apparel team on optimizing SKU count/fixtures

Floor plan review (with the creative team) 

VM supply budgeting, ordering, and management

VM layout and presentation

Store opening setup and sign off - this includes organizing and managing the opening teams for each new location with close partnership with the construction team.

Partner with Retail Operations team on store guidelines and policies


  • Brand Marketing Partnership

Event setup guidelines

In-store program development (ie Milestone Rides)

This is a cross-functional role, partnering across many different teams at Peloton. These partnerships include:

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience preferred in fashion with multi-unit experience
  • BA or BS in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design, Store Design and Visual Merchandising preferred (but not necessary)
  • Must be highly proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat
  • Familiar with G-Suite
  • Ability to read floor plans on construction drawings
  • Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Action-oriented and organized, with an ability to prioritize and manage workflow
  • Experience managing vendors to deliver results
  • Enthusiastic self-starter who can remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Excellent with time management and multitasking
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Razor-sharp attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability  to exercise discretion and judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel both domestic and international at least 50% of the year - must hold a current passport and drivers license
