Summary:

Manages the Procurement personnel and responsible for monitoring costs to assure competitive pricing from vendors. Negotiate with suppliers as is appropriate to maintain and, when possible, improve pricing terms, quality, and on-time deliveries as required for all materials, components, and subcontracted finished goods. Coordinates the S&OP process and chairs meetings represented by sales, finance, production/scheduling, and procurement to meet customer and production demands in accordance with cGMP’s, forecasting, and demand planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for demand, production, and supply planning by implementing best practices and utilizing D365 to meet delivery goals and inventory strategies.
  • Execute all facets of the S&OP process to assist in achieving an optimum customer service level, quality, and profitability in accordance with corporate values.
  • Manage and maintain supply agreements including pricing, forecasts, annual purchasing requirements, supply shortages, and changes in accordance with established quality and financial standards.
  • Ensure that NDA and confidentiality is maintained with all vendors, third party warehouse or manufacturing organizations, and new suppliers.
  • Ensure materials and components are available to meet production schedule and maintain minimum stock levels for operational and production continuity to maintain high service levels.
  • Provide updates during all production and CGMP meetings on the status of all Pegasus materials, components, and products in effort to mitigate negative impact on manufacturing and production resulting in unavailability of products to customers.
  • Measure forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory turns, and slow moving and obsolete inventory to help maximize revenue and improve data integrity and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Lead and develop procurement personnel to assist with monitoring in-stock conditions, forecasting, obtaining the best price, extended payment terms, freight terms, quality assurance, handling backorder or discontinued items, secondary sourcing, and on time deliveries.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience in procurement, specifically buying, pricing negotiations, vendor relations, production planning, and people leadership.
  • Required 4+ years of procurement experience in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry, specifically raw materials and components, pricing negotiations, vendor relations, production planning, and people leadership.

  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
