Summary:
The Sr. Director of Operations & Supply Chain leads the functional management team for operations and supply chain to include the cGMP FDA manufacturing facilities, warehouse, procurement, and strategic cross-functional work with other senior leaders through marketing, sales, and logistics. The Sr. Director of Operations and Supply Chain will develop Pegasus’ supply chain management strategy and builds processes that guarantee the efficient movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods in a cGMP FDA compliant facility from point of origin to consumer. Define and implement comprehensive strategies to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times, and reduce inventories.
Responsibilites:
- Create departmental org chart, hire, coach, and develop department leaders, give direction, integrate/leverage global capabilities, and hold leaders accountable for staffing, training, and developing the functional downstream leadership teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Compliance Leadership for ongoing review cGMP & FDA guidelines, implement updates, and ensure department adherence.
- Collaborate with New Product Development teams and R&D to improve Product Lifecycle Management – spearhead sourcing initiatives to introduce products on time, on budget, and in stock
- Build measurement systems framework and performance indicators to include but not limited to skills matrix, scorecards, KPIs, plant layout changes and capital equipment installations.
- Identify ongoing key department projects. Delegate projects, provide guidance, and hold department leaders accountable to ensure they are completed on-time and within the established ROI
- Responsible for developing overall department budget. Hold functional leaders accountable to meet or exceed individual expense budget expectations that include cost estimates of capital expenditures, facilities and equipment maintenance, headcount, and new projects.
- Manage the execution within the vendor contracts and re-negotiate these agreements upon renewal in conjunction with Pegasus/PRN Sales and senior management. Maintain current pricing and minimum purchase requirements in our ERP system.
- Implement and facilitate lean programs, workshops, and activities to gain ongoing efficiencies.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
- MBA preferred with experience in pharmaceutical plant operations and origin to consumer supply chain management.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or other ERP system and manufacturing software preferred.
- Knowledgeable about Lean and Six Sigma or other process improvement initiatives.
