The front end engineer is responsible for developing the front end of user-facing web features for Peek’s SaaS product, Peek Professional. The ideal candidate has either 1+ years of web development experience with Ember.js or must have 2+ years of web development experience with other JavaScript libraries/frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular, as well as experience with integrating with GraphQL APIs and knowledge of UX best practices.

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers and fellow engineers to prototype and implement product features
  • Take ownership of features built from development through release to production
  • Communicate bug and feature testing implications to the QA team
  • Review product documentation and designs to understand feature requirements
  • Advocate for a consistent and delightful customer experience
  • Accurately estimate time to complete deliverables
  • Deliver maintainable, production-quality code



Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years developing web applications
  • Have contributed code to at least one shipped software application
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with single-page application frameworks such as Ember.js, AngularJS, React or Vue.js
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs (experience with GraphQL a plus)
  • Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks
  • Proficiency at debugging issues using Chrome Dev Tools
  • Knowledge of software design patterns
  • Working knowledge of source control tools (Git, Subversion, etc.)
  • Exposure to unit and/or integration test frameworks
  • Degree in CS or similar field, or equivalent work experience
