Pearl Abyss America, Inc. - the team behind Black Desert and the upcoming titles DokeV and Crimson Desert - is seeking a high-performing, creative, results-oriented, and quality-obsessed HR generalist who genuinely cares about people and culture and who wants to help build a great team to support millions of the game players we serve across all platforms (PC, Mobile, Console, etc.) in North America.

The video games industry is transforming how players are entertained, communicating with each other, and interacting online and on their digital devices. As a highly skilled and passionate HR expert, you will be leading the efforts to create the great work environment and culture in a fast growing company in the videogame industry. You will be responsible for the general HR related duties and recruiting process.

 

Location: Manhattan Beach, CA (Los Angeles)

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the recruiting process : Posting job ads and organizing resumes and job applications. Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process
  • Create, manage and distribute HR/benefits documents and forms
  • Support all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
  • Maintain/update digital records of all the employees and contractors
  • Serve as point of contact with benefit vendors and HR partners
  • Schedule meetings and HR events and maintain agendas
  • Coordinate on-boarding and training sessions and internal seminars
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activities
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • All other duties as assigned by management including special projects and assignments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor‚Äôs degree in human resources or minimum 5 years of work experience in Office Administration, HR, or Executive Assistant
  • Must be well-organized, with the ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize workflow effectively
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, work cooperatively and with minimal supervision, and be punctual and reliable
  • Must be detail focused, with strong grammar and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations
  • Effective HR administration, communication, and people management skills
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability MS Office and related business and communication tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Korean (both writing and speaking)
  • Previous experience and knowledge on the various HR softwares/services (ADP EV5, Workday Kronos, Taleo, Expensify, Workable, Greenhouse, Survey Monkey and iPay, etc.)
  • Avid Black Desert Online player
  • Passion for video games
