Pearl Abyss America, Inc. - the team behind Black Desert and the upcoming titles DokeV and Crimson Desert - is seeking a high-performing, creative, results-oriented, and quality-obsessed Marketing Interns who want to help to build brand awareness and create a buzz for Black Desert franchise and the upcoming titles from Pearl Abyss.

The video games industry is transforming how players are entertained, communicating with each other, and interacting online and on their digital devices. Our company needs a Marketing Intern who has an entrepreneurial spirit with creativity, passion, and relentless tenacity to get things done. Our summer internship program offers college students a great opportunity to discover what it is like to work in a fast growing videogame company, in an international work environment, and also what it is like to be a marketing specialist for a videogame that serves millions of players. As a marketing intern, you will have a chance to roll up your sleeves to come up with creative marketing ideas and deliver innovative solutions to actual business challenges. You will build enduring relationships with your team leader and assigned mentor. You will be able to learn about the gaming industry and be an immediate part of Pearl Abyss’ collaborative culture.

This is a 3 month long internship program. Start Date and End Date is negotiable depending on the intern’s school schedule.

LOCATION

Manhattan Beach, CA (Los Angeles)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support marketing team – Marketing content ideation, Monitoring marketing campaigns, Marketing & Competitive Analysis, Reporting marketing data/results etc.
  • Research on the MMORPG market and competitive landscape and come up with communication strategies for Black Desert
  • Assist with copywriting, proofreading, and polishing marketing documents
  • Research on the marketing campaigns by other competitors and marketing and social trends on the internet
  • Work with community managers for social campaign ideas and content creation (videos, social banners, memes, etc.)
  • Help to create documentation for proposals and presentations
  • Help to run social media accounts and work on the social media growth strategy

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Class: Junior, Senior, or Graduating Senior
  • Great work ethic and desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Work cooperatively and with minimal supervision, and be punctual and reliable
  • Strong interest in working with a very diverse, international, and  highly collaborative team
  • Highly computer literate with capability MS Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Avid Black Desert Online player
  • Passion for video games
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and relevant techniques
