PDT Partners – a quantitative investment manager – is seeking an intellectually curious, independent, collaborative professional interested in learning about and contributing to a world-class, quantitative trading business to be part of Fund Analytics & Operations. The role provides an opportunity to participate in all aspects of our complex trading operations, to design and execute procedures, as well as to provide analytics and business insights for key management decisions that allow us to grow our strategies.
The Fund Analytics & Operations team contributes to our trading operational alpha by handling trade processing, investigating trade and position breaks, and working with counterparties and internal teams. The team also partakes in new projects, from the launch of new funds to the trading of new products or entering new markets.
The Junior Fund Analytics and Operations Associate will be responsible for completing and improving our trading operations processes between the firm and our counterparties. Other responsibilities include researching and processing corporate actions, monitoring securities lending rates, and proactively improving the team’s workflow. Responsibilities:
- Providing operational support by performing core activities as well as reconciling daily trade processing/settlement and positions across various products, regions, and counterparties
- Improve existing procedures and create more efficient ones, often in collaboration with many areas of the firm
- Manage day-to-day operational relationships with brokers and fund administrators
- Create analyses, metrics, and reports for management
- Prototype new tools to facilitate structuring and analyzing our post-trade-related data in insightful ways
- Participate in new launches, trading with new counterparties, and new markets/products

- 1+ year of professional experience; interest in finance is a plus
- Demonstrated aptitude for analytical thinking and problem-solving, with intuitive numerical sense
- Strong SQL and Excel skills; Python experience or a desire to learn technical skills
- Proven ability to resolve issues and to advance multifaceted projects
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Thorough, conscientious, and meticulously attentive to detail
- Ability to synthesize details to a senior audience
- Knowledge of, or interest in, the trade lifecycle is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
The salary range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000. This range is not inclusive of any potential bonus amounts. Factors that may impact the agreed upon salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other external factors.
